Today my August Lust Have It! pack arrived, as well as some eyelashes I'd bought on eBay and a very exciting package from a company (stay tuned tomorrow).
This months pack was a beautifully wrapped white box with black ribbon to celebrate their first birthday. The box was a lot larger than I'm used to, but it had some great products in it. In case you're wondering, I got the Fun and Flirty pack. Well, I think I did. The top of the information card says 'Fun and Flirty July Lust Haves' and it's August..
I only received this box today, so I'm unable to review the products. Instead, I'll type out the information provided to me so you're able to get some insight into the items. If possible, I'll also include my initial thoughts.
tanGo Tanning Glove - RRP $29.95
I received a full sized glove
"The tanGo tan removal glove acts like elastic, gently pulling the tanning pigment away from the skin without the use of any harsh exfoliants or chemicals. Also doubles up as a great make up remover - just add water."
I'm not a person to fake tan, but I really like how soft this cloth is so it's likely that I'll use it for make up removal. Why not, right?
Tigi Rockaholic Rock Out Shine Blaster - RRP $27.95 for 100mL
I received a full sized bottle of this product
"Shine like a rockstar! Seals cuticle tight to speed up drying time. Use it as a 'mixer' with your favourite styling aid to soften up the hold factor and add shine. Temporarily masks split ends."
As most people are at the moment, I'm really enjoying hair oils. Not only am I them, I love the fact that this one is meant to reduce drying time. I have quite a bit of hair so it takes ages for it to dry. I need to wash my hair tonight so I'm looking forward to giving this a try.
ModelCo Eyeliner - RRP $26.00 for a full size
I received a full sized bottle eyeliner in black
"A must-have tool to enhance eye makeup & define eyes. Colour Box Eye Pencil glides on effortlessly for long-lasting, intense colour, complete with an inbuilt sharpener/lid."
I'm a big fan of black eyeliner. Isn't everyone? With that in mind, however, I don't need another one! I have about four on the go at the moment so this one will be going in my giveaway drawer. Stay tuned. One of you will win this eventually!
Marc Jacobs: DOT Fragrance - RRP $160.00 for 100mL
I received a 1.2mL spray of this product
"DOT by Marc Jacobs - The new lush floral fragrance captures a charming and upbeat spirit with timeless sophistication. Fluttering sweet and fruity top notes of red berries that descend through a trail of jasmine and orange blossom, landing on a base of vanilla and musk."
A lot of people don't like receiving perfume samples in their boxes as they can be obtained for free from Myer but, as long as other products in the box are impressive, I quite like it! Although perfume samples can be requested, I find that I never know what to ask for.
All that aside, I really like this fragrance. It's so light and fresh (I'm terrible as describing perfumes) and will make a great addition to my collection of minis for my handbag.
As much as I like the sound of these products, I'm not sure if I'll use them. I have so many LUSH soaps and body washes that I'm using that the moment so I can't see myself need them any time soon. Every Christmas, however, I go away for approximately two weeks and I think these mini products would be perfect for packing then!
So, everyone, that was my August Lust Have It! box. I've heard a lot of people say that they were disappointed in this box but, to be honest, I don't mind it. It's not the best box I'd received but there's definitely a couple of products that I'm happy with, with the tanGo Tanning Glove (to be used for make up removal) and Tigi Rockaholic Rock Out Shine Blaster appealing to me the most.
I think a couple of different boxes were sent around this month so, as usual, which did you get? What do you think of the contents of this month's box? Are you subscribed to any other beauty subscription services?
