My Morning Jacket, "Circuital," as Directed by Todd Haynes

Hot off the mighty accomplishment of "Mildred Pierce," HBO's sizzling, epic melodrama starring Kate Winslet as literature's longest suffering mother of a monster, Todd Haynes has gone long form yet again, conjuring up this 30-minute music video hybrid for My Morning Jacket's new album "Circuital."

It's totally awesome.

The first few minutes are like tripping down an "Eyes Wide Shut" rabbit hole with Oliver Twist into David Lynch's opera house. If you're an MMJ-and-headphones freak like me, the whole thing is essential viewing. For the rest of you, the first ten minutes should suffice.
